The roles
Executive Headteacher (Up to L37)
As an inspirational leader, you will lead from the front, setting high expectations and challenging targets for both students and staff, whilst monitoring effectiveness and outcomes. You will provide leadership for the Federation which secures its success and continuous improvement. You will communicate a shared vision and strategic plan that inspires all stakeholders and translates that vision into clear objectives that promote and sustain improvement. Your strategic overview will ensure the schools develop as part of the overall Federation. As well as providing strategic direction, you will look to build a genuinely collaborative learning culture within the Federation and actively engage with the community to build effective partnerships with the full support of staff and governors. As someone able to empower and motivate others, you will have outstanding interpersonal skills and the willingness to be a visible and influential figure in the wider community. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of how effective leadership can raise achievement and expectations – with your track record evidencing this.
You will be committed to creating positive strategies for improving learning, raising standards and consolidating changes to the curriculum. Further to this you will be responsible for motivating and further developing all staff groups by embedding good practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead and shape change at a strategic level. You will have a key role to play in the recruitment of the Heads of School posts, in turn creating an organizational structure that provides an efficient learning environment. Additionally, you will work with the relevant agencies and partners to ensure the well being of children in line with the ECM outcomes. Raising expectations will be a key challenge, not just to meet the ambitions of the families we serve - but to exceed them. Through your commitment to getting the very best out of our Federation and creating a cohesive and successful learning community, you will be instrumental in shaping our future.
Head of School x 2 (L15 – L19)
As head of one of our 2 unique schools you will have day-to-day responsibility for the smooth running of the site, effectively leading our talented staff and pupils while monitoring effectiveness and ensuring a school-wide focus on pupils’ achievement. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Executive Head and have a real input into creating an organisational structure that reflects the Federation’s values and ensures its resources are effectively managed to provide an efficient and successful learning environment. Crucially, you will have a strategic overview of how each school’s effectiveness relates to the development and success of the Federation.
You will be adept at establishing creative, effective approaches to learning and teaching, responsive to the needs of the pupils. You will be able to demonstrate your experience of implementing strategies to secure high standards of teaching, learning, achievement and attendance, as well as clear planning to ensure the most effective deployment of human and financial resources. You will produce and implement clear, evidence-based improvement plans and support the development of an ethos that enables everyone to work collaboratively, sharing knowledge and expertise, celebrating success and accepting responsibility for outcomes. You will also deputise for the Executive Head and undertake any professional duties as delegated.
These key leadership roles provide a unique opportunity to help build and shape the strategic direction of our schools at the beginning of an exciting new chapter. If you are passionate about ensuring children receive the highest standards of learning and achievement within a supportive and empowering learning community, we would like to hear from you.
